Life is good. Life is wonderful. Life is full of beauty and wonder. Sure, there is misery and suffering and pain, but there’s also beautiful sunsets, new born children, birds singing, laughter and hope, green grass, flowers, millions of different species, stars and planets and so much more.
In Judaism, there is a toast said every time they drink wine – “L’chaim”. It means “To Life.” As Pantheists we celebrate life, we celebrate existence. We accept that there are hard times and bad parts of life, but our general attitude and outlook towards life is one of gratefulness, optimism, acceptance and awe. Like Judaism, perhaps we should be toasting “To Life” at every opportunity and celebrating the wonder of our universe.
