Celebrating the Full Moon – Grain Moon

Tonight is a full moon. I call it the Grain Moon because it is in August, the time when the grains have ripened and are being harvested. It can also be called the green corn moon or sturgeon moon. There are many ways to celebrate the full moon and I’ve written about it in detail here.

  1. To me this is the gratitude moon, which is similar in its connotations of harvest. I’ll be celebrating tonight rather than last night; it wasn’t quite full here until the early hours of the morning and with the moon I tend to lean more to the day after than the day before.
